Subverting pastoral toile with the realities of San Francisco cycling
Commissioned by Public Bikes, this poster interprets the city through the lens of urban cycling. The “San Francisco Toile” pattern reimagines the traditional toile de Jouy style, depicting the hazards and adventures of the San Francisco cyclist rather than 18th-century pastoral scenes.
The work has been exhibited in multiple shows and published in the Public Works catalog.
